We got up early this morning to shoot the sun rise behind the museum hoping to catch the "Towers of the Virgin." in good light. The thunderstorm was still lingering from the day before so we had thick clouds over the peaks so it was kinda of a bust but still fun.
After that we heading back to the hotel and had breakfast, packed our gear for the narrows, made a quick stop at the Zion Adventure Company to get water shoes, dry suits(water pants probably would have been fine but we thought being over prepared is always better) and headed out to the shuttle. Surprisingly we didn't make it on the trail until about 1pm which turned out to be a bit of a bummer because by the time we got to the spots we really wanted to photograph it was pretty late and we had lost a lot of the good light in the canyon. We still had a blast though and still walked away with some good photographs.
We made it back on the shuttle by 6 and still managed to make it to canyon junction bridge to catch "The Watchman" at sunset. It was a good end to a very long day. I think our mile count was up to 6-7 miles for the day and 12 for the weekend so far. I was really tried and soar by the end of the day!
